Valorem’s IoT Digital Twin Experience lets you experience the art of what’s possible through remote monitoring and equipment repair using Augmented Reality (AR), IoT and Digital Twin technologies. This solution illustrates a use case for these technologies to enhance your business with applications for overcoming geographic boundaries and skill shortages, reducing operational downtime, increasing equipment lifecycles and enhancing front-line worker training and support.
Using Microsoft HoloLens, participants first visualize a holographic remote facility and real-time data streaming in from IoT devices within that facility. Using hand gestures, users can view device dashboards for each IoT device to view and analyze incoming telemetry data from their machines to forecast and prevent equipment downtime and increase failure response times.
While monitoring device telemetry, a ‘failure’ scenario triggers a front-line experience in which participants are shown a 1:1 scale digital replica of an onsite device and provided step-by-step instructions for repairing it. Using holographic guides, participants are guided through dismantling, repairing and reassembling the failed equipment then performing diagnostics to ensure success.
Valorem’s Intelligent Edge and Immersive Teams created the IoT Digital Twin Experience as a solution for industrial organizations looking for innovative ways to predict problems before they occur, prevent downtime, develop new opportunities, and plan for the future. This solution can now be experienced in Microsoft Technology Centers around the globe and has been showcased at numerous industry events.
